Joining a Collective space

To access all the writing, publishing, and mandate management functionalities and to be attached to mandates as a lobbyist, you must join a Collective space and become a member.

Please note that consultant lobbyists must join the Collective space of their enterprise or organization, and not their client's Collective space, to disclose the lobbying activities they carry out on behalf of this client.

Once you are accepted as a member of the Collective space, the Senior officer (SEO) or an administrator (ADM) will assign you one or more roles depending on the nature of your duties and tasks. View the different roles you may be assigned within a Collective space here.

You can join a Collective space:
  1. by sending a request to its SEO and administrators; or
  2. by invitation from the SEO or an administrator.

Joining a Collective space by sending a request to its Senior officer and administrators

To join the Collective space of an enterprise or organization:
  1. go to the Actions section (sometimes indicated by the “…” icon in the upper right corner of the page) of your Professional space;
  2. click on “Je veux rechercher un Espace collectif” (I want to search for a Collective space).
You can search for this Collective space by the name of the enterprise or organization to which it belongs, or by the Québec enterprise number (NEQ). (This number is listed in the Québec enterprise register.)

When you have found the Collective space you are searching for, click on "Rejoindre cet Espace collectif” (Join this Collective space). A notification will be sent to the SEO and administrators of that space to inform them of your request. Once your request has been accepted, you will have access to the Collective space as an Editor-Reader (ER). You may be assigned other roles subsequently.

If you do not find the Collective space you are searching for, you can:

      change your search criteria and relaunch the search; or

     create a new Collective space if you are the Senior officer of the enterprise or organization, or if you have been previously authorized by the enterprise or organization. Otherwise, one of these persons will have to create the Collective space so that you can join it.


Please note that an enterprise or organization cannot have more than one Collective space in Carrefour Lobby Québec.

Joining a Collective space by invitation from the Senior officer or an administrator

By means of a unique code

If you do not have a Professional space, the SEO or the administrator of a Collective space can invite you to join it using a unique code generated by Carrefour Lobby Québec and sent by email.

To respond to this invitation, you must first create your Professional space.
Once you have completed this step:
  1. go to the Actions section (sometimes indicated by the “…” icon in the upper right corner of the page) of your Professional space;
  2. enter the unique code sent in the invitation email;
  3. click on “Rejoindre” (Join) to automatically join the relevant Collective space.
The roles you will be assigned in this Collective space are specified in the invitation email.

From a notification

If you have a Professional space, the Senior officer or administrator of a Collective space may invite you to join it by means of a notification generated by Carrefour Lobby Québec. This notification is sent to you by email and is also displayed in your Professional space
You can accept or decline this invitation:
  1. directly in the email that was sent to you; or
  2. by clicking on the “...” icon appearing to the right of the notification displayed in your Professional space.
The roles you will be assigned in this Collective space are specified in the invitation notification.

Access to your Collective spaces

The Collective spaces of which you are a member are accessible from your Professional space. Those for which you have requested membership and for which you are waiting for a response are also visible there. They will be accessible once your request has been accepted.
